Linda’s first book, a memoir,...

...is scheduled for publication in April 2024 by Unsolicited Press.

Called Lying Down with Dogs, it details the start-up and workings of Other Mothers Animal Rescue and a series of other events in her life.

Of her former business career and its tumultuous aftermath, she has said, “When it comes to meetings and office politics, give me a bunch of diarrhetic puppies and a freezer full of cats anytime.”

Her matter-of-fact, often humorous approach to saving animals bears testament to that preference.

Linda is currently working on a second book, a psychological thriller. The elevator pitch for her novel goes something like this:

"Imagine a hunt for a killer who defies capture, who is virtually invisible? As the city of Portland is trapped in a wave of unrelenting fear, Dixon makes his capture her all-consuming mission. But her work is complicated by a surprise medical diagnosis, difficulties within her squad, and escalating family dysfunction. Meanwhile, the killer is out there, using his talents for sleight of hand and misdirection to stay one step ahead of her."

When she is not writing, Linda manages the non-profit animal rescue organization that she started in 2005. She is also an avid traveler, reader and keen observer of the human condition.
